The V1 is largely considered sub-par compared to the V2.

The V1 is largely considered sub-par compared to the V2.

There were quality concerns/general consistency issues w/ V1, along with a few re-jigs to the controls that allowed for more subdued sounds & so on (also, V2's MSRP was about $100 less than V1) - most ILF peeps modded their V1s out the wazoo for usability, but, yeah, V2 seems to be the replacement/fix for all those V1-era concerns. Collectors do what they gotta do, though (collect?).
