Wow my heart is pounding and I'm feeling a new sensation a couple feet further down.

Fun fact time, stereotype style!
The previous owner of that Metasonix amp prides himself as a connoisseur of Ed Hardy attire. Meet the new owner, same as the old owner. :hobbes:

It is 100% vacuum tubes, from input to output.
I guess it's just a vacuum tube holder?

From the G-1000 owner's manual (http://www.metasonix.com/G1000ownermanual.pdf): "SERVICING: The user should NOT attempt to service the G-1000. All servicing should be referred to qualified service personnel. CHANGING THE TUBES IS NOT A TRIVIAL EXERCISE. DON'T TRY IT UNLESS YOU ARE INTIMATELY FAMILIAR WITH TUBE ELECTRONICS." Their all-caps shouting.

I've barely gotten past the legal disclaimer and I've been called a wanker, pussyboy, shitbrain, and a child molester. Also, apparently the amp isn't a dildo. Glad they cleared that up.
