I want a Spectre so fucking bad! I have to wait for fundage to get better! This year though! I love flange. UGH! So good!! And I am so impressed with the Wombtone, I can't believe it! I almost want the MK2 to just run with the original. Or maybe a full Chase Bliss Board will all the versions. That would be dope as fuck!

Wait...do people still say dope...?

hnnnng. My only hope for getting through this weekend without buying a Spectre is Meet Maude.

I mean...everyone needs a delay before and a delay after your dirt pedals, right? But then...everyone needs a flanger before and a flanger after your delays...so I guess I technically need 4 flangers if I have 2 delays...otherwise, I have to physically move pedals around and then we have anarchy. This is not going to end well.

Ok, I think I'm safe. I ordered a Meet Maude. Then I threw in a Four Eyes Fuzz for good measure just to make sure I don't buy a spectre this weekend. Let's hope that does the trick.

Ha.ha. Thos two pedals may keep you occupied for a long while.

Meanwhile, I'm still occupied with my Spectre.

High deaf, how can you afford to impulse buy an MM and a 4eyes, but not pick up a spectre?

I mean, anything Fairfield makes is sick, so I fully support your impulse buy b

So my Spectre is randomly distorting when I play hard on my bass, or even more than just lightly. It wasn't doing that yesterday at all, and when I turn the pedal off, my bass isn't doing it anymore.

Has anyone experienced this???

Try lowering the master volume trim pot.

Also try lowering the res trim pot. That may add some distortion.

Be gentle with the screwing though (twss), it's very easy to make it too resonant or too sterile.

Ok cool deal! Just odd it's doing it one day, but didn't before. Unless I was playing with dirt and just didn't notice, which is entirely possible. LOL

Thanks guys!

The pedal is very sensitive to the environment, particularly the res. One day mine would self oscillate, the next it wouldn't and needed adjustment. Joel says this happens most often when you go through a temperature change.

Hmm... let me know if you can't fix this. changing the volume trimpot won't do anything because that's post everything. Some biasing may be out of wack. Distortion can happen in certain cases with the regen though.
