Dry leaf vaporizers

Post by scienceman »

I was just wondering if any of you use a dry leaf vaporizer. If you do what do you use, and what do or don't you like about it? I can't really smoke so these are kinda appealing to me.

My girlfriend just bought one that she likes a lot. I've only tried it once but it was nice. I know it was a little spendy though. It's a portable one. Seems much nicer to have the portable option, particularly since weed is legal here. She was looking for a smoke free option where we could still use the weed we grew rather than having to use oil. Working well so far. I don't know the brand, but I'll check it out when I'm home and let you know what it is.

Pax vaporizers are really nice. And they have a warranty for when you get baked and inevitably drop it.

Ya the pax is really the only one I know about. I might end up jumping on one of those. They just seem so expensive though.

I have a DaVinci Ascent. I've used the regular DaVinci too, and the Ascent is definitely worth the extra cash. It's a little pricey for a portable, but I go through less than half as much product as I would with flame, so it's paid for itself fairly quickly. The pathway is all glass, so it's easy to clean or replace tubes. Variable temperature. Battery life is good, and works plugged in if it's dead.

If you dry your leaf out sufficiently, the vapor is nice and smooth. You don't even notice it except for the taste, and it tastes like it smells. Sometimes when you exhale, there's nothing even there, but it's still working. The problem is that it's hard to know when it's cashed. Eventually you just figure out how many good pulls you'll get from a certain amount of leaf.

There's one thing I don't like about it. It comes with little glass containers to put oils or crystals in. I haven't tried with oils, but I put a certain crystalline substance from the self-transforming-machine-elves in, and it was disappointingly ineffective because the container itself interrupts the flow of air, and the vapor has a hard time escaping up the pathway. So the Ascent is not good for that.

i have a pax 2. it's great for .. taste!! it's very efficient. it's like the i-phone of vaporizers i guess. it's $$ for sure. it does have a 10 year warranty :joy:
i also use the Arizer V Tower with an Adapter to my bong. it works very well! the taste is not as good as the pax. the burn is not as accurate either.

Grasshopper is getting released soon. it's a pen style . but looks better quality than what is already on the market. and .. it can be used with bubblers and bongs without an adapter! i'm keeping my eye on it
