I believe they were supposed to start shipping almost immediately. Premiere Guitar shared late-January and Music Radar claimed mid-February for the UK.

Yea, Roland typically gets stuff out fast after announce.

Surprised they're not already on the shelves.

Fuzzrociouspedals wrote:We're shooting for $180. It has an external time pot (to the right of repeats). We can still make the mix external. We wanted to focus on the use of time as the "weird" factor rather than just oscillation/runaway feedback. I get what you and @insubordination are getting at. Totally cool. It's not for every player out there, but we hope some people dig it for making a mess with delay.
First off - let me apologize for being a total asshole in my post. My initial response was very reactionary, and I may or may not have had my coffee on that day. Now that I actually look at it, the half/quarter/quarduple/??? switching with the PT2399 actually seems really cool. I initially thought it was just two preset times that you could morph between  I think we can both agree that would make for a pretty silly pedal! I need to accept that there can be other PT delays besides the Dr. Sci ILF Sunny Day Delay. I just wanted to let you know that I respect what you do, and, while it might not be my cup o tea, it is cool to see someone doing something different.

Also: cool to see you on ILF, it's about time!

Hartke unveiled some new pedals with a low-gloss, textured finish (not sure if plastic or metal?), which I guess is cool if you want your pedals to look like oddly-colored 1980s Mattel toys.

These were just added to the Effects Database. They're analog pedals that can save up to 10 presets. There's also a separate controller for chaining them, in order to save multi-pedal configurations. The Jelly is an EQ, but their other pedals are all dirt devices. They're made in Italy, but I couldn't find any pricing or distribution notes.

Apparently the Gizmotron 2.0 (massive 1970s failure) is still moving forward and was spotted at NAMM. I really expected this to fall back into obscurity.

Wow and they're open for orders. For only $449 (plus possible bonus accessories?), you can have molded plastic and tiny wheels.

http://www.gizmotron.com/buy

If this was $180 or less I could see them selling a ton of these, but at $449, this seems like another massive failure. I speculate that would-be buyers can look forward to a massive fire sale 6-18 months from now when they fold up shop.

I was on the preorder list for the gizmotron. Saw them at NAMM too. It's cool, but not 450 cool. I was really excited, but saw the mounting stuff before NAMM and the final construction just strokes me as cheesy. But I also have a bias against plastics (and it is somewhat irrational I guess...just hate that everything has plastic haha).

Yea, when I saw the price I backed down. I think it went up 50-100 dollars. But I think it is really cool. They just needed to take it up one notch in design to really get me to justify it (but I don't know what that step would be).

Dang, was typing this up as you posted
