They're fine. I just don't think they match the pedal.goroth wrote:I like those knobs

Spectre knobs as in these:

BTW, heres what it looked like before and why I got the pedal so cheap:

Agreed. To be fair to the previous owner, it was painted and those knobs were picked to match the owner's Teenage Engineering OP‑1. Which it would have accomplished nicely.BLOOD EAGLE wrote:That totally looks like it was painted with white out.......
Not for me though.

Yeah, well, the thing with the OP-1 is that it was designed by, guess it, professional graphic/hardware designers. Check TE's website, synths are not the only products they make. It's their job to make things that look good and are functional and they're quite good at that. So the OP-1 looks pretty good.
That thing above only share approximate colours with the OP-1

Re: What is in the post? The thread of and for GAS!
Trading my Boss ME-5 + some cash to a local fellow for his 80's Yamaha G-50 210 solid state combo. He happens to be an electrician, too, so he cleaned the pots and gave the thing a clean bill of health for me.
I'm a huge fan of older, non-smd, non-dsp, 80's solid state amps, particularly in the 50-100w range. The best cleans that I've heard come from these sorts of amps. A perfect platform for someone like me who largely gets their sound from pedals.
Going to run it in tandem with my 80's Fender Stage Lead 212 100w, for a nice rich composite sound.
I feel like I spend significantly more time trying to craft and configure the most excellent rig, than I do actually playing and writing.
Oh! Also, a coworker gave me some excellent 80's-era effects that belonged to her father. Obviously, they're priceless. I'd feel like a turd if I sold or traded them. Besides, they sound tits-o-rama. The AD-9 might be the the most musical delay I've ever used.
