I have collected a bunch of knives since childhood, mostly folders and small trinket-ish ones, these are two of my more absurd knives from adulthood. The perspectivenis a little fucked but the blades are 9" and 5 and 1/4" respectively.

I have a handmade damascus seax I will try to get a photo of sometime. My EDCs are all pretty boring CRKT and Gerber type stuff. Would like a Benchmade one day.

Totally an impulse buy, but I picked this up the other day. I've carried pocket knives my whole life, but always wanted a fixed blade...this is probably pretty impractical, but its cool. Out and about i typically just carry a Husky folding utility knife.

Karambits are fucking scary, that seems pretty cool. I really want a new EDC size fixed blade, would love to hear opinions.

I'm not sure I have any suggestions, but I guess that depends on what you consider "EDC size". That means different things to different people.

Nice. One of the $20 deals from WM? I recommend the Kershaw RJ Tactical w/ flashlight setb to anyone needing a good size folder (also $20 @ WM).

Yep. The blade itself is only 2.58", but the overall is 7.28". Because it screams "tacticle/defense/fighting" I probably won't carry it, open or concealed. Even though this is AZ, it is still far more intimidating looking than a more traditional fixed blade. There is a really nice fixed blade Buck knife they also have for $20 that has that TV yellow colored handle..far more practical and less intimidating/questionable. I might pick it up, too. The deciding factor was there was only one SOG, and about 50 of the Bucks.

This is no joke...there's a guy out here that rides his 10 speed bicycle around with a machete strapped to the cross bar, and every other cowboy carries a Crocodile Dundee sized knife.

Also, the Kershaw Leek has been my handy blade of choice for years. Would like one of those Microtech jobbers with the retractable blade (Scarab?), but too $$$.

Well, I already have a handful of fixed blades in the 4" and over blade length for camping/collecting/whatnot, probably looking at 3" or less, something that can fill a similar role as some of my smaller folders. Work in a kitchen, use my own knife all the time for small tasks there, go hiking a fair amount, walking os my primary mode of transportation, and I tend to constantly be fixing small things around the house. I tend to love drop points or sensible clip points, but am not adverse to a sheep's foot or something different. pretty ambivalent about seration on smaller knives; can be useful, hate not being able to home sharpen. Tend to like hollow or scandi grinds, depending on the role. Honestly though, I always have a knife on hand and I end up using them constantly for a million small things.

Knives are really cool, but much like guns, I cannot be trusted with them... even tho guns are cool too. I'd seriously be dead already if there was a gun in this house. I always wanted a pellet gun with which to shoot action figures like Kevin in Home Alone, though.

Anyway, I have a bunch of smallish camping knives... my grandpa (or maybe it was the scary uncle who lives with him on the "compound"--which, as of this year, literally is a compound, with a high chainlink fence, surveillance equipment, 8 different sheds storing god knows what and, like, 15 firearms as of this year) gave me one Christmas. Like, seriously about 9-10 knives all together as a single Xmas gift when I was ~16. They're all over the place now, sadly.

Anyway, I really want a switchblade. Not for any practical reasons, just because I think they're neat.

Where in AZ? I have been there a few times, one of my two dogs is from there. She was a stray sitting under a bench on the side of I-40. I kind of fell in love with a lot of the area, bit I spent most of my time ijn the mountains.

Cottonwood, North Central AZ. It's in the Verde Valley, but it's nice because of all the different terrains within a short drive..mountain, river, plains, high desert, and forest. I'm actually contemplating picking up fishing again. My grampa used to take me, my siblings, and cousins, and there's actually several fishing waters around.
