....... are you calling me fat?

pfffffft. yeah. i love the stuff y'all come up with moddy moddu style, but i would need to be like.... not working and rolling DEEP in the money to even start down that road.

i don't have the extra cash right now to buy stuff unless i'm going to use it for musics, and i barely have room for a MICRO home recording setup.

NEED ALL THE MONIES. AND A BIGGER HOUSE. THEN MAYBE.
Well, it looks like you're past this part...

I just thought you'd be more like this by now:

Zooiks

I may be going all Euro, I need to get some money out of my music gear and selling a couple of Buchla modules will kill the level of fun that I currently have.

I just found out about the new Trogotronic cases. Which seem awesome and very affordable compared to the alternatives. They're only 2*84HP but that's actually a decent size for a focused system and if I get one and keep my Cell90 I can still have some more space.

$373...

Super solid case, not too heavy, apparently good power supply, tons of connectors, nice rails, removable lid.
I'm super tempted. I sent Mt Trogotronic a mail asking about international shipping costs (the shipping is included in the US, which sort of makes it a no-brainer for you 'murrcans...).

The only thing is that it'd probably be nice to be able to remove the power cord completely before closing the case, still, not a big deal.

Isn't 168hp still way bigger than most cases of that price?

Yeah, for the price it's super reasonable. Also, 2*84HP means that the case fits airlines restrictions...

Sadly, shipping to Japan is an extra $100 :(... I need to think a bit more.

That case looks so rad... Not enough of these seem to be gig-oriented at a reasonable price? I'm thinking I may pick up a Mother 32 in the next month or so once my discount kicks in at my new job, so I should be getting started on modular way sooner than I expected.

Yeah, I might bite that expensive international shipping and just get one of those too. It just ticks almost all the boxes for me. And Mr Trogotronic is super responsive and helpful when asked questions, which is always a nice plus.

I've been waiting for a new 9U design by someone else that is not likely to happen until probably 5-6 months from now and this one seems just perfect for me right now. I sort of expected to end up full modular with a 9U/12U portable case and maybe a couple of pedals but I think I'll be happier with a small keyboard, some pedals/loopers and a 6U modular...

That's my thinking too really. Thing seems beyond functional and $100 shipping is a small cost for perfection really. I'venearly paid that for pedals before

Boredom got the best of me.
I just got super jazzed on the mother 32,
Came here and saw the trogo case.....
That is seriously the perfect case especially for gigging...
