Invisible Man wrote:I'm so excited for this movie, but the trailer leaves a lot to be desired. Also makes me wish that this were a trilogy--Apocalypse isn't someone they can introduce, fight, and defeat in two hours. At least not in a way that will be cool. I mean we're dealing with time travel, mind control, god-like powers, super strength, &c all as both powers and plot devices, and that's all gonna happen in a massive ensemble cast with tons of CGI (which didn't look super great to me here, by the way)? Sounds like a recipe for a shitty movie.

This could have been stretched out to include Bishop, Cable, tie into another franchise (X Factor), on and on and on. FOX needs to sell the X-Men rights to Marvel after this movie so we can really get the ball rolling. Fantastic Four appears to be done after three bad, underperforming movies...could be so cool to watch the endless cross-pollination of this stuff.

Say what you will--I know not all of these are of high quality. But I don't care. I'll watch them all until I die. It's fun, and they're great popcorn flicks.
i wish it'd be a trilogy - that'd be awesome. and i agree that he shouldn't be able to be defeated in a couple hours. not sure if i'd want the x-force guys added though... i love them, but it's already a lot of characters.

Yes! As soon as I saw the image I said, "Omega Red!" Not sure why I couldn't remember that, thanks.

No he didn't. Hence my, "I think." I realized thinking more in the day that it was the tentacle things only and no swords.

1) I agree with everything Invisble Man said. Pretty much sums up my earlier statement about the Age of Apoc thing.
2) Bishop rules.
3) Cable rules.
4) Omega Red fucking rules. Cannot believe they haven't put him in a movie yet.
5) Omega Red vs Winter Soldier would be rad. My 2c.

Can you imagine how cool all of this would be? I mean, it's not like Marvel is thinking "welp, those character are too obscure." Guardians of the Galaxy just made fourteen billion dollars last year, and I'd never even seen an issue of that mag. Even lame-ass Ant-Man turned out pretty cool.

Now the question becomes: who would play Cable or Bishop? Omega Red is easier to cast. And wow! Winter Soldier/Omega Red would be killer.

Bishop: Chad Coleman

Cable: Was gonna say Mickey Rourke, but he's not looking so hot these days.

Both would be very cool...but wasn't Mickey Rourke already in a Marvel property (Whiplash in Iron Man 2)? I know that doesn't always stop people...eventually, everyone will be in Marvel movies, because no others movies will be made. Apparently Cate Blanchett has been tapped to play Hela in the next Thor movie.

Ah fuck, yeah he was.
He was good in that too, I dunno why I didn't remember that.

Mel Gibson as Ghostrider.
Marlon Brando's corpse as Galactus.
Will Ferrell as Stan Lee doing Stan Lee's cameo as someone else.

Also, I'm totally down to be in some kind of an extended Thor universe series.

There already was a Bishop...if you could call it that. I barely remember him. Apparently Jubilee has been in the movies like 3 times, yet I have never noticed.

Rourke would prob be cool for Cable; Whiplash or no. Chris Evans played Captain America and the Human Torch :idk:

Marvel isn't making the X-Men movies, it's Fox.
