Haha. I've never seen another Patriot anywhere. It's cool to see another one in the same finish and everything.

Going on tour in 2 weeks and the van needs some repairs. I got some shit in the spam thread to help cover the costs and will hook my doom room family up if anything tickles your fancy.

Never seen this particular one, but I've played a couple in shops around town. Dug the way they sounded. Looked into it once, and as far as I can tell, they were a short lived company outta Phoenix. Ya see em around here at pawn shops and on craigslist every now and then.HeavyXIII wrote:

Speaking of which... Will be in Phoenix as of Sunday afternoon. Outside from general hang time with the Southwest Doom Room Crew, anything I should check out? I have a work provided food budget and a rental car but will be working 9 hour days everyday except Sunday and Monday (11/1 and 11/2). Will be hitting up the Windhand show on 11/2. Music shops that are dope? Sweet food spots or breweries or bars or whatever.doctorpoopenstein420 wrote:Never seen this particular one, but I've played a couple in shops around town. Dr. Nick it is.

Ultra congratulations to you man! I recently dropped school (to focus on music?) , but my wife just got her masters and is currently well into the first year of a Physicians Assistant program. So I can respect the amount of work, keep it up man I'm a big fan of yours.
Something you might be interested in is coming my way--

It's not working and they idea people have had is to raid it for parts. I want to make it work first and see whats up with it. It's huge, heavy and looks like perhaps a 50 watt power section. The bells can be played with a piano roll or a keyboard that is attached to it. A buddy in Seattle picked it up for me for free. Maybe I'll form a weird science band and feature it haha.
Which brings me to this, Kudo's to MrStomach for the fried gravy recollection, Here's another blast from the past. I don't know if you guys remember the Electrically etched sg that I posted at least a year ago, several of us here still lament letting it pass by, but a friend has figured out the process, and I am thinking to experiment first on that kit 7 string sg, and then perhaps on the faceplate of my Verellen.

Feel like I've been slacking on checking in here, glad that all seems well with the Heavies.

That's pretty awesome. Here's a tutorial, "fractal woodburning" or "Lichtenberg woodburning" gives a bunch of results: http://waynesthisandthat.com/Fractal%20 ... icity.htmlAxAxSxS wrote: Which brings me to this, Kudo's to MrStomach for the fried gravy recollection, Here's another blast from the past. Hm, actually I seem to have a pretty big neon transformer hanging around...

Sounds pretty rad, and I'm sure I'll own one at some point. Neither of these are surprising realities.conky wrote:Also, this just made my jizz / shit myself. Can't wait for this to come out.

This post is so weird and full of win. That bell thing is nuts. Awesome that you remember the gravy as well (you and Summit started the idea iirc). And I definitely remember that crazy lightning SG - seems like that was way back in the hcfx days, but I could be totally wrong about that.AxAxSxS wrote: It's not working and they idea people have had is to raid it for parts. I think it was here, but way back when. The bells have been secured and are at a friends place. Just have to figure out how to get it here from Seattle. Probably will have to take the Flux bus up.
