Man, lots of variety there.
As expected.
Odont, how's the dispatch master go out front of the Rec?
I imagine you get into some older Tombs sounds there?

If this turns into a derail about my excessive verbosity I will be very upset.

Google just convinced me not to.

Winter Hours were one of New Jersey's leading alternative rock bands.

Skip to 1:35 if you don't want Åkerfeldt playing ultra dry comedian.

This was of course a tune from the time when opeth understood the word shred.

Sorry. Tombs' Winter Hours record.
It's not very shred but it's heavy as fuck and has some great Dual Rec toanz.
Odontophobia's set up there immediately made me think of that.

You and others may skin me for this but I really like Heritage.
It's cool.

Plus the guy is Toki Wartooth made real, I've always got time for that.

I respect opeth for their artistic integrity and for doing whatever the fuck they want. I like the first two albums, love my arms up to deliverance/damnation, and everything after that has struck me as being successively more meh. But that's just me. Mosh hard to heritage if you want!

Needs more shreds.

I love it that Frank Mullen has been doing this for 27 years and still looks like he freaking loves it. But the whole band is just comprised of individual badasses, who not unlike Voltron create an entity that is greater than themselves and for more adept at destroying stuff.

I haven't experimented with it too much. It's great when playing slower, single note riffs that sort of smear and go off on their own. I haven't set it up for anything "faster" yet. But I know that I can get into those territories for sure.

Wasn't aware that Winters Hours was Dual Rec tones. That makes me excited.

I might be picking up a Mesa Mark III here shortly as an "at home" combo. But paired with another 1x12 may make for a good, "THERE'S NO FUCKING SPACE HERE FULL STACK."

I really, really like the Dual Rectifier, particularly as I take more time to really dial it in and get it where I like. I was having issues here and there with it sounding a bit fizzy but when I saw a facebook post about a buddy of mine who says he always dials Treble out and then back in with Presence on his high gain amps forced me to try it and it's going fucking great.

I'm in the process of switching back to humbuckers to eliminate some single coil noise and help with the "chug chug chug chug" so I just picked up a set of Seymour Duncan Pegasus and Sentient to try out. Designed with the djentist in mind but I'm banking on their ability to stay "clear" when hitting the higher gain well be beneficial. Throwing that PUP set into my Fender Toronado. Just picked up an American made Telecaster with, of all things, a humbuggy in the bridge and I'm looking forward to playing that through the Dual Rec. That single coil in the neck for sweet lead lines (that I don't really play).

But also, BC rule.

Yeah dude that sounds fucking rad.
Demos when you do!
I have had a two channel dual rev on my GAS list for so long. They are tits.
Also had a mad boner for Toronados when they first came out.
Still do.
Let us know about that SD set.
