Had the exact same setup. The cabs are really good. The amp is ok for cleans, but I never figured out how to get a good distorted sound out of it.

Remove the grill. Take an appropriately sized hammer.
Hit the tweeter.
Repeat as necessary until the tweeter resembles small moon rocks.
Plug in and fuzz out.

Tried a Twin, fell in love, didn't want to pay for it, was told to check out a Traynor TGL-3, found one used on GC's site, took a chance, mailman delivered, plugged it in, turned it up, hurt my neighbors' ears, saw forever, fell in love, achieved a tone bone, woke up with morning wood.

That's the story of my new amp.
