I read this forum more than I participate to it but I have always loved it.
When every other forum turns out to be endlessly lacking imagination, recycling the same threads or questions and painfully sticking to the same concepts and habits, here on ILF, folks try new things and share novel or crazy ideas without any fear of being judged or shot down.
For me, this open-mindedness characterizes ILF. It is like a safe haven for those who think differently, a giant international gathering of quirky and interesting characters that I feel I know rather well despite having never met a single one of them. It is an odd and rather unique thing, a bit like a family.
Sometimes there is some tension and folks argue but eventually all agree to disagree and move on and sometimes everybody has tremendous fun together, a bit as if we were all jamming together and it really did work brilliantly - smiles all around. I tend to watch it all from the sidelines but I need my daily dose of ILF.

So in keeping with family tradition, I evidently voted for penis sandwich.

So I want to resurrect this thread in light of offending someone in my recent for sale thread.


What appeared to be distasteful was funny to me, because I have a sick sense of humor as do many on ILF. Over the last year or more there's been this trend of "I'm scared to offend anyone". I'm really over it and I'm sorry to say that I just don't care. People need to stop being so butt hurt about stupid shit. If I talk about dicks and farts and that's what's funny to me, then that's my prerogative. I'm a fucking man, and most men that I've known, even though some try to pull the whole "I'm more mature now bs" like dick and fart jokes. Sometimes they just are scared of what others will think of them.

I'm not changing who I am to not offend people. I refuse to. People make a conscious design to be offended by something. That's right! It's their choice.

So I'm venting a little and in another way I'm saying. Chill out. Words are just like words man. They don't have to be a weapon. My words are not meant to be. I write foul things sometimes because I have a foul sense of humor. I always have.
