It's everything I hoped for, mainly that it took fuzz like a champ and was an atmospheric noise generator. It's nice and different from the more controlled Titan. The blend selector really has a huge effect on the resulting sound.

I've been on the fence about getting one forever now. Lack of demos have kept me from it. Hope your demo is up soon. :snax:

I've been looking forever for a good price on a used one....got a new one for 20% off from PGS. I'll get a demo up soon, this is one where a better quality mic would make a Huge difference cause this is a room filling thick shifting atmospheric machine...although that could be said of all my demos

Real nice resin. How are you liking the MASF?

Here was my setup today:
Yamaha SGV300 -> tuner (some nice muting effects to switch between mod/noise and guitar) -> LAL Rattle Crow (for cut/volume and those sweet sweeps) -> Trogotronic 679 Granfury -> Boss DD-5 (for the occasional hold layer) -> Sunn Beta Lead Combo

Anyway, thinking about my pedal board if I ever played live again...need some effects loops for the trogotronics! Eh, probably just need them anyway.

Question: Why does the DD-5 get so much flak compared to the rest of the boss DD series? I think it out works the gigadelay (which, to me, is the worst..though I haven't used the DD-7). The DD-5 might be my favorite of them.

Thanks Chankgeez!

The 679 is almost too loud. The volume control changes the sound quite a bit too but I couldn't really push it past 1/3 without feeling like I was going to blow the speakers (which is a problem with the beta lead because I between 1-3 on the volume there is a huge jump between can't hear it and almost too loud). Beta Lead was clean (gain at two; channel volume at two; master at three).

I also only can figure out what some of the controls do and there are settings where it is just a noise maker (no input or so morphed can't tell)...like the "internal patches"...don't get that yet.

I dig them. 2nd run with the Possessed, still surprised by how musical it can be :) that's a pedal I can leave on all the time. Raptio is HELLA rad when you don't have to do splits to engage  took me a bit to figure out the re engaging/sampling when hitting new notes tricks. got some really epic shit going like that. kind of a bummer how the raddest sounds are found when turning the knob :idk: I have something shitty to say about everything tho. glad I got to try it out but I'm beyond stoked to be trading these for a big box judder :)

and every time you post I want a 679 even more

I forgot to mention the Kill Kill Filter is INSANE!!!!!!!!!! so fucking massive and boomy while remaining 'articulate' with the gain up and being driven by another pedal (especially fuzz). doom city

This. Only thing I'd add to that pedal is a switch and a knob for it to sweep through the range of the main knob. I'm giving myself a semi just thinking about it.

Yea, totally agree about the splits thing with the raptio. And had actually typed put the idea UC mentioned when the tablet died [via CV though...for env or lfo fun but a sweep would be awesome]. I also agree about the possessed being musical...it actually worked well with some straight punk riffs, haha.

Can't wait to get a setup like lal rattle crow -> 86 -> 46 -> angel ring -> 669 -> 679 -> 666 -> judder...

669 is way more usable as a guitar crazy machine...679 is a better preamp for guitar than 669...but 679 has a power to its synth sounds ... forgot my 666 has inputs but it is the hardest to use on guitar but can't be beat for blasts of noise.

Been mulling over getting a judder..but can't make myself trade or spend the cash...I dunno man. I guess I could sell the rs-09 or something...

Congrats on the trade...thought about it myself

edited for 666 information

If I that setup ever exists, me thinks I will need to attenuate each of the trogotronic loops. Just too high output (which would elimate the angel ring).

So, new project with old friends. We play in a 7 piece psych/soul band that's sometimes stressful and a bastard to effectively co ordinate.
SO, we decided to create an offshoot. Shoegazey stuff with some groovy bits, so we all took the opputunity to fuck with some new set ups:

ME (NOISY GUITAR):

Number of pedals has more than halved compared to that other project. The Post Gain on the RM-1N is at 11 Oclock and is to die for.

Other guitarist and synth:

As opposed to me, this dude doubled his shit.
It's totally refreshing to do something so different, and our RIGS OF THE DAY were fucking SO much fun.
