This is really cool I had no idea! Shame it's not a 30 minute video about spin chip politics though

Spinchips are delicious with some artichoke dip.

So you've basically got a full Dark Star inside of the Bit Quest? Cause that's fuckin awesome

Prolly gonna call Red Panda so they can give me some of those delicious Particle chips.

Basically. It doesn't sound exactly the same, but pretty damn close.

The PCB will be the shape of your face.
Thanks, LG!

Does anyone have a definitive list of spinchippery? And which ones have socketed ICs versus soldered ones? Could make for some beautiful mongrelization. I don't use the dirty side of my BQ, either...

I'll start:
EHX Holy Stain
MASF Raptio
MASF Possessed
Red Panda all of them?
ONBE all of them?
Neunaber Wet
Alexander all of them?
Not sure which ones are socketed though, can't remember how the Particle was when I've opened it.

Red Pandas and MASFs are soldered, unfortunately. The Red Pandas' ICs are much easier to remove though. It's pretty spacious around that IC. The ICs on the MASF pedals (at least the Raptio), have a lot of components really close to it. It also doesn't work with the BQ. I tried. Hoped for instant latching Raptio.

Just got off the phone with Red Panda. Unsurprisingly (and wisely, I'm sure) they won't sell me an FV-1 outside of the purchase of the entire pedal.
Don't know of another way to do this, meaning that I'd have to buy and potentially ruin an expensive pedal to ultimately have less functionality. Poop.
Putting the OBNE stuff in a BQ enclosure seems like it'd work great, though.

Or I could learn to program EEPROM stuff...

That was awesome, nice one. I really want a Molecular Compactor now as well.
