Hi! Let me address this.

Any synth modules that accept 1v/oct pitch input, env input, gate and/or trigger inputs can be driven by our audio-controlled synths. Our synths can be treated as an interface block between any audio-generating device (instrument, voice etc.) and virtually any modular synth component. The Squaver P1 also features a dope-sounding VCF that we think modular synth will love and the filtered (line-level) ACO output can be sent as an audio signal to any modular synth component for further processing.

This looks right up my alley! I don't understand why they made it into a pedal, though? This seems like it'd be perfect to have in a Eurorack module so you can control your eurorack with your guitfiddle? Maybe they'll release a module that's just the audio to cv pitch and gate so you can use that to control your eurorack?

We made pedals because we wanted our synths to be available immediately to musicians who might not have invested in the Eurorack chassis yet. This covers a lot of guitarists who are used to advanced effects but haven't invested in modular or semi-modular equipment yet, which is a big part of our target demographic. We agree that it would be awesome to have our synth in a Eurorack form factor as well though and it is on our radar for future development. As for providing the audio to CV interface without the ACO, you basically get the ACO for free with the audio-to-CV interface so the ConVertor has ALMOST the basic minimum features we plan to offer in a product. But a Eurorack ConVertor seems like a good idea to us.

Plus 9V psu is much cheaper and available than having to buy a powered rack. Some Eurorack users have a full rack already and they wouldn't want to buy another powered rack. Buying a 9V power supply (PSU) is not a big expense (usually 20$). Also, we wanted to take advantage of the chip's low voltage requirement and enable battery operation if one wants to take it on the road.
And foot controlling - playing a real instrument usually takes both your hands so we wanted a unit that can go on the floor and not be forced into a rack

What is the filter based off? As a person on a life-long filter quest, I'm always curious what people come up with.

The filter is a cascade of two 2-pole state-variable filters, each of which has HP, BP and LP outputs. The variable transconductors use the popular LM13700 chip and the basic VCF is similar to what's shown in the datasheet but with some improvements for better dynamic range.

Our filter has some things in common with the MS-20 filter but not entirely. First of all, adjusting resonance doesn't affect the flat-band gain. This means the signal can distort a bit at high resonance settings but it also means bass isn't affected by resonance in LPF setting for example. Based on a cursory glance at the MS-20 filter schematic, we think ours is better
