Re: NAMM leaks, announcements, and rumors
My mother-in-law has buy scooping up Disney vhs tapes at yard sales and flipping them on eBay. She makes mad money. Something went for over $100. I'd flip all those, buy a generation loss and just run the streamed audio through it when you Netflix the movies. Everyone wins.
Obviously doesn't apply to all the rad and obscure titles.

Re: NAMM leaks, announcements, and rumors
Man, I wish I could find that vhs video delay on vimeo again. Thing was neat, but it took up like 6 sq ft. It had a tape going between a VCR and a bunch of wheels. The camera recorded people coming in (and recording the projection).
I just got a Part1 VHS not too long ago too. Probably will never watch it. I do have my vhs player still though. And a video capture...never say never i guess.

The first Reverb listing to show the Nautila has an estimated shipped date of 7/1.

*Edit: However Sweetwater e-mailed me tonight, and they're currently expecting them at the end of August.

Another example of pedal gfx doing too much. Whoever's responsible seriously needs to familiarize themselves with Coco Chanel's mantra of "take off 1 thing before you go out with your look"
In this case it should be everything red.

I really like some of the stuff I'm hearing in the middle third with the analog (karaoke chip) mode. I could probably do a lot of similar stuff with a T2 or other units though. All in all, it seems like a cool pedal for people who enjoy otherworldly and dreamy, cavernous textures.

Digi-Tom says the Nautila is dropping in late-July. This is good news for flanger/chorus fans.

Also...rewind to Winter NAMM, PGS Andy finally dropped a Discman demo. I don't even care that rfurtkamp can do all these sounds with his dungeon of antiquated rack gear for much cheaper. I'll gladly shell out some dough for this lil yellow guy to glitch out some synths and piano loops.

Lexicon Vortex will do a LOT of that and more on the insane - all of the algos are envelope sensiitive.
On "low glitch" it was pretty uninspiring, running a second delay a little broken will get it.
This is one where I suppose I'm confused, I was expecting much weirder.
It seems pretty tame.

I have no idea how Andy made it sound so tame. I've spent some time with it and it's definitely a handful. Look up Eivind's demo of it (search 'irerror csidman' on youtube).

Yea, that demo is a ton better.
A lot of it I can still get in toys I have, but one box, not bad.

Dunno if it's already been discussed but does anyone have a clue what the new MXR Variac Fuzz is based on? Is it a Superfuzz?
