That is the most meaningless degree of separation I've ever heard. I actually bought a used Colour Box with no fucks given (well, some fucks given), because clearly I have no morals. But I'm kinda tempted to sell it now because that was fucking insulting to people's intelligence.

Yeah man. If just talking about the product, I initially liked the concept of the Colour Box...
but IMO its cost of admission is better spent (going farther) on other solutions (idk what yours is used for).
If you're into its EQ & drive sounds, consider an Effectrode Blackbird or an Ethos. For front end to a DAW/DI interface with pedals, same recommendations... even a Pigtronix Keymaster or Cali76 (with transformer). If it doesn't have to be a pedal, and you can raise some extra shekels, opt for a Golden Age Project Pre73 and EQ.

Obviously JHS (man) has never used JHS (company) profits to pay for these financial donations. JHS (company) = Astoundingly bland pedal company with eye punishing, awful artwork. JHS (man) = Idiot who gave/gives money to lunatics who believe gay people deserve to burn in Hell and have been extremely active in encouraging far right politics in Africa.

If there's one way I would describe Texas, I'd say it's pretty much like a birthday party full of hyperactive children. Except when you try to leave that birthday party you walk towards your car for 6 hours and you realize you haven't seen anything that looks like life since you left that big crowd of children, and you notice this remote section of the party seems much more inhospitable and also smells weird and then you learn you still have like 4 more hours until you've left the confines of the birthday party and wonder why people fought to take this birthday party from Mexico and how this weird spot is still part of the same birthday party, and realize this has gotta be the biggest house you've ever seen.

Fixed. Seriously, they go hand in hand. Tax free exemptions for purchases of goods and the land the church owns. There is a lot of funny stuff with money and religion.

Mike Bickel, the owner of the fucking place, has been my Uncle's friend for over 30 years. He married him and his wife for fucks sake and my Uncle was co-founder of the church (though I noticed they removed his name as founder which is shady as fuck). I knew Mike when I was a little kid, and he seemed fine back then, but money, church presence...whatever drove him off the edge. I don't know that man anymore. He would never associate himself with me if I talked to him either. It's a sad thing.

My point is, that my family was in deep with those nut jobs (not my immediate family, though my father always was in a role of some sort and I was around the church for many years), and I don't deny it. I own who I was, who I am now and all that jazz. So why doesn't Josh do the same??? Why is he trying to save face to a bunch of industry douche bags that will write him off if he gives to a church??
