The body is Mahogany. The neck is maple with 2 strips of walnut running through it, and since it is neck through body, that continues to the bottom of the bass.
The fretboard is Pau Ferro, with Abalone inlays. I need to get a close up of the fb so you can see how beautiful the Pau Fero actually is. Oh yeah...26 frets! Jumbo frets specifically. Intonated perfectly I might add!
The nut is unbleached bone. Grover tuners. Badass III bridge, so it's obviously strung through the back of the bass! Yeah...my 1st bass like that! Dunlop straplocks. Yeah, ALL hardware is black!
Stan
Hinesley custom built me the Pbass pickups specifically for this bass. It sounds absolutely fucking amazing!! I can cop ANY tone I want between the 2 pu's and 2 tones. The pics only show 1 tone knob, but another Stan
Hinesley custom push/pull pot is being added today so I can make the bridge pu sound even better. I've never met a bridge pu yet that sounded good by itself.
Believe it or not, this bass is inspired by Entwistles' Buzzard basses. This thing is balanced perfectly and is so easy to play. It is actually VERY comfortable to sit down and play.
This is my guitarist Ricks' website.
http://www.bfsguitar.com/This is his 1st bass build. He also makes the baddest guitars I've ever seen!
