Having seen people say 'cool avatar' or 'nice
username,' I'i realized it'd be a good ideafor everyone to explain theirs in one thread. If there's been a thread about this before then lemme know and I'll delete it
My
username is just my initials, and my avatar is a screenshot from this really horrible cult film' The Room'
Now your turn!

I knew there had to be a reason your avatar got me so aroused, I can't believe I didn't recognize it. Nothing to really explain here. It's just my name. I got that avatar because people seemed to like FLCL around here and I wanted to fit in

when i was DJing doing ambient/downtempo/sound collage stuff in the San Francisco rave scene in the early 00s i wanted to change my DJ handle from the
nom du poste i used on various forums and as my main e-mail address, and two things i particularly love are dub reggae and cats. ergo, Dub Kitty. the avatar comes from a .gif animation from the Netherlands that was popular on the Net six or seven years ago of a crazed kitteh going through the stacks at a record shop.

My forum name is really a geeky story of shame
It was my altercations to a random name generator in Star Wars Galaxies. From there I used it for an email address and just started using it for forums from there on out. Also got used in World of Warcraft and will be again in The Old Republic, again

. It's even on one of the sides of my highschool class ring.
Mainly because I like for people to refer to me in a name that suggests superiority, whether it just be phonetically.
My avatar changes frequently, currently it's Peter Cushings as Gran Moff Tarkin. Which is my favorite Star Wars character and he does an amazing job that is frequently overlooked.

It came from me and a few friends trading Ahnuld impersonations.
That's it.
If you know where my avatar comes from then it's probably been seared into your mind. I'm not sure how I feel that it weirds people out. I wouldn't take it to a normal forum at least

Maybe I'll change it one of these days.

My user name came about as a idea I had for while about getting a super bassy fuzz made and the name got stuck in my head like phrases tend to for what ever reason

So when I found my way here back when it was Devi's form right around the name switch from Effector 13 I lurked for a bit then signed up as Mudfuzz
My avatar... changes all the time but is almost always either anime or manga themed [hey, I'm a anime nerd what can I say] current one is Yuno Gasai from Mirai Nikki sitting in front Sunn(O))) bass cabs

"McSpunckle" was a random name I gave my main WoW character back when I played. The name kinda stuck-- some people that know me in person think my actual last name is "McSpunckle."
The avatar is from this little series of photos I took:

BC is my initials. Big Chief started as nickname I got from a football coach in my freshman year. My friends then all turned it into a running joke, saying that coach was actually talking about my dick and was coming on to me. That story got told to my college friends, and it's stuck with me ever since.
My avatar was just a funny pic I found on a board one day. Probably one of the whatever-chan boards. It made my wife and I laugh our asses off.

My screen name just came from a friend and I playing off stupid band names.
We thought it was funny because Earth Crisis took themselves pretty seriously.
I've been thinking about asking Tom if I can change it.
Truth be told I don't even like Earth Crisis and I've never seen or read Lord of The Rings.
Fun Fact: My favorite stupid band name we came up with was ST/DC.
My avatar is Goliath's head from my favorite painting.

My
username is derived from a ridiculous nick name I gave myself in my mid twenties which
originally was Cody Poledo the Cody cuz I like that name and Poledo from the
infamous Lou Barlow tune on your living all over me it got altered when my
roomy/best friend and I acquired an xbox 360 and he accidentally typed
Cody Pole when creating my profile, I added the underscore when I
signed up here on ILF.
My avatar is one of those sock creature thingy's your pedal came in when you
bought them from Ooh La La (when they were still around)

I don't, that's why I'm asking! It's cool though if it truly is a problem.

My
username is just my first initial and the first four letters of my last name (Free in German. Freebird if you were to add in the rest of it.)
My avatar is a character named Bucky O'Hare
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bucky_O'HareWhen I was a little kid I had a bunch of Bucky O'Hare toys. It was a debate between him and Jazz Jackrabbit
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jazz_Jackr ... video_game) - the character from my favourite game in the mid 90s.
