what exactly do the toggles do on this? i have the version with no toggles, and it's arguably my favorite pedal. debating if i need one with toggles now...

One switch makes it go wild as hell if the gain is set higher.
Other switch, I think, is an EQ switch. One has quite a bit more low end and girth to it.
