This is one of the funniest things I've ever read on ILF.

I will call myself out and say its me. I listed it on here for what i paid for it. I normally bump up prices for Reverb, I dont have any animosity to the general public. Im more then willing to haggle, but for that large of a purchase I want most my money back.

Also worth noting that the value of the GB24 appreciated dramatically after the Ct5 blew up, as is expected. Mt.Asm pedals used to be relatively cheap because there was no demand outside of the 30-40 people who used them on here. That's not the case anymore, obviously.

I think it's ok to call out bullshit both ways with regards to BST -- since there's no recourse and no barrier to entry beyond making a (free) username, we kind of have to -- and I think it's nice that we're having a relatively tame discussion about it.

Where's that "$900 Pretty Years in Sweden of all places" guy? this thread was made for him.

I don't think it's wrong that you're charging that much azx, it's just wild that the price has jumped so much.

I'm lucky in the sense that I get a little chubby for these megahype pedals just like everyone else, but I have no practical use for them in my music so there's no real loss when I can't afford them.

Damn y'all this is good readin's.
That price hike does suck, but Reverb fees would probably come out to ~$50-70 on a $700 purchase.
I mean, I sold my 856 on Reverb without listing it here because I didn't actually want to sell it, but I figured I would let it go if someone wanted to pay me 2x the original price. And you know what? Someone did, god bless them. I'm literally all for making money off saps on Reverb, but I also cut deals here & share the wealth when my wallet allows because I value this community.
In the seller's defense, he didn't post it here & try to ask us $700 for it. Having it posted by someone else, I can understand if he feels unduly called out. But I agree with Raj, if you wanna upcharge unobtanium on Reverb, prepare to have it discussed here (hello, that is what we do) & potentially have your 'identity' revealed, own it, and move on. You can't act like you're not the type of dude to upcharge on pedals when you are actively upcharging on pedals.
All that said, I got an etched No Memory for sale for $69,420 if anyone wants to cop mine. I'm very... *firm* on this price.

I make t-shirts, patches, koozies, buttons, CDs, sometimes tapes, and eventually i'll start working on pedals again. DM me for pricing!

Too bad you couldn't even get a third of that price (on the 856) on the Dallas CL :picard:

I sold my Pretty Years that I bought straight from Brian on Reverb for $600, anyonewanna fight about it? I put it up for Make an Offer at $666, and it sold in minutes. I kept the record, shirt, and I totally misplaced the directions. Five star rating from the buyer.

I just got a late rent notice last night (turned out to be a mistake) and I almost put up my HEQ1 for a higher make an offer price.

Anywho, I don't see a good reason for being an asshole here. I mean if you're living in a capitalist country like America and you can make a couple hundred on a pedal flip, fricken do it. Steal fucking Burts Bees from Walmart. Tack on an extra 15 minutes on your timecard at work. (I don't even know who brought capitalism/socialism up but there it is)

Also, I have seen many people here talk about how everyone low balls on reverb, so we put up stuff for more than what we want for it hoping we get an offer that is what we really want to ask for it. That may not be the case here, but the snap judgement is kind of lame when so many of us list shit on reverb higher than what we actually want.

Yeah, I should have bought a Positive on the last run but I waited to long. Trying to wait it out and not pay almost double. I guess I could always buy a used real one... for double.
