Unless the seller is requesting a public discussion on an item's value, please discuss price/offers in PMs. Don't like the price? Move on or PM and make an offer, or PM suggesting a price change if you feel so bold. If you want to discuss what a pedal might be worth (without targeting other ILFers), discuss it in the Gear section.

question:
Trying to streamline my media a bit I ripped all my disks onto my computer:
Is it wrong to sell em? I am just tired of them taking up space, not sure how to proceed, don't want to break any rules or anything.
also: Not sure if this is worth noting but I have them in those big disk holders and no longer have the jewel cases, not sure that matters in regards to selling them.

You're talkin' CDs?
Not wrong to sell 'em, but not having the jewel cases will reduce your asking price. As will condition of the discs. If they're all scratched up, expect to get much less for 'em.

yeah most are in good condition, they went from the jewel case to a storage book, I just wanted to make sure it is OK to sell em
just want to unload all of them for a little money and coverage of shipping not looking to get rich, i will try to post em today if that is cool.

I'm pretty sure it's fine.

I've seen many people sell CDs in the BST! Don't see how it could be a problem

just because im sure 80% of this forum doesnt know its there.
theres a bump topic button at the bottom of the page. Theres no need for 3 pages of the word "bump"

Hmm, interesting, mine doesn't show it, at least not for this topic, maybe it's different in B/S/T?

The bump button is only for threads that you started.

Ah, thanks, sorry, that makes sense!

Is there a time limit on posts? I came back to update and bump a couple threads I had with items for sale and they don't exist any more. They were less than 30 days old.

Question: I just posted a '74 LP Special on Craigslist here in Austin—can I post a link to it on here as well in case there's anyone interested in a local sale? Thanks!

Whoops! Seems like everyone missed this question. Threads may disappear in much less than 30 days if they're not posted in or bumped.
Could only be a week or two, I'm not really sure. Probably a good excuse to bump 'em at least weekly from here on out.

I can't speak for everybody on the forum. Can only give my opinion for whatever that's worth.
I think, as an active contributor to the forum, you're fine. I think some people object to sellers who don't participate here at all really coming and posting links to stuff they have for sale on other sites. If anyone disagrees with me, please, let me know.
