Honestly I think this place is the best and safest place to get stuff.
I do think you have the right to expect tracking on trades
also paypal does offer some protection if you purchase anything

we have good trader reference thread that is a great place to start, to see who is making good deals and taking care of peeps.

Thanks for the info! I'm curious to learn more about paypal's protection, do you know of anywhere I could read up on that?

After PayPal takes their fees from $50.00 you'll receive:

$48.25

That means PayPal is taking $1.75 from you! Those bastards!

hahaha those bastards!

I keep seeing the

"worst thing I can say is no" on trade threads.

Is that really the worst thing you can say?

I think no is one of the decent things to say when you get trade requests.
The worst thing you can do is not reply at all.

Instead of putting
"worst thing I can say is no"

put...

"As a common courtesy I will provide you with a reply to your PM so that you aren't left hanging"

Sometimes saying nothing says everything.

I get what you are saying, I think that replying is a courtesy more people should try.

It is a pet peeve of mine I guess, probably from years of working at a factory where you would e-mail someone and then have to run and track them down to get the info you needed.

Oh I agree it's common courtesy.
More than once I've missed offers due to the way new message alerts ca overlooked by simply visiting your Inbox...or attempting to respond via smartphone, failing and then forgetting
I've gone back weeks later and responded to them....often times to no response lol.

But lowballers and shady offers are lucky to get any response at all...

agreed on the shady and lowballers

I have had that problem recently trying to respond via smartphone,

The other danger with that is that people see that you read there e-mail and didn't respond and just think you are a jerk when in fact you are a jerk with a semi-fancy phone.

In general the communication on ILF has always been pretty solid and most of the people on here are great to work with

Totally understand that everything is at your own risk on here

But is there a way for anyone to directly email the people of the accounts? A guy I shipped pedals off to hasn't logged in and thus, hasn't read my messages since and I would just really like to be able to contact him
I mailed them on Tuesday, ILF says he hasn't logged on since the Sunday before then and he said the absolute latest he would get the pedals out was Wednesday
Thanks,
I don't thinks there's anything too suss going on, but I just wanted to know
