Just found out this morning that we lost an OG ILFer, Metalmariachi. He was an older gent, but this was still unexpected.

He hadn't posted a lot on ILF for a bit, but we were FB friends and I've seen a lot of other OG ILFers posting there, but figured it would only be fitting to talk about him here, since this is where we first crossed paths.

I remember him from back when this was the Devi forum. He was an interesting cat, and a fellow bass player who loved fuzz. Outside of music, he was an avid photographer. Over on FB, it turns out that he used those skills to document many live shows in the Gettysburg PA area, where he was a fixture on the scene.

Rest easy, man.

He'd occasionally roast htsamurai & me. And man, was he good at it. I love that he was so immersed in his local scene, specifically at his favorite watering hole, the Garryowen. If i ever get up north, i'm gonna make a stop there & raise a glass in his honor. Rest in Power, my friend.

Man, that's crazy. I was thinking about him the other day. Sad to see an OG go.
