Here in Belgium they solved the obesity issue by putting a lock on the cart where you have to insert a coin to take it and you have to bring your cart back if you want your coin.

If you think about it, all of them were stereotypes, and/or followed the characteristics of each given color. Jason (red) was the usual temperamental jock. Billy (blue) was the timid but loyal and smart nerd type...etc
