Sounds dope! Don't give me another thing to buy, haha... btw the Soundcloud link wasn't working for me because of their lame embed stuff, so here's the link for anyone else who runs into trouble:
I've been almost exclusively using my OP-1 the past 3 months. So much so I'm about to release an all op-1 cassettey, sort of my learnings. I went with the desksaver AND unit portables case, I'm paranoid and it lives in my backpack so I wanted to protect those keys.
3.5mm antennas are cheap as fuck. I got 2 on ebay from China for $.65 each, shipped. Or just plug in some headphones or something, but antennas....
I bought the other TE accessories but don't use them too much, I tend to use the more automated LFO''s over crank and bender.
That's about all I have to say about that right now. OP-1 is my favorite object. When you get comfortable with file transfers and such, I highly recommend the Iter/Filter "cracks" I ducking love the more straight forward filter. Also be sure to hold shift when adjusting parameters. The good shit is inbetween the lines.
OK now that's all I'm saying.

yeahhhshshhshshsh! VERY cool noises homie! thanks!
YES. ALL THE THINGS PSYREYR. ALL. THE. THINGS.
really like the layout so far. super simple to navigate.
oof. only really played with drums a bit. loooove it so far. nifty, nifty things.
so..... made a melody loop on the modular, recorded it and saved it as a 44.1, 16, aif file. but when i put it in either the Drums/User or Synth/Sampler/User folder when it tries to load the little screeny text says it canna.
what am i doing wrong? too long a file? how does one load up samples, not just hits?

I haven't tried it, but Nils/fcknoise/brands said you can just plug in a mini jack and use that/yourself as an antenna.
where.... where do i.... plug the other....... end?
i mean. i know where i would try first.
Let us know what that sounds like.

chiming in to say the antenna helps the reception about 100000000x so i recommend if you wanna do radio sampling.
But I too am in love with the OP-1. I'm just now getting better at freehand beatmaking, and made my first freehand no-metronome loop that lines up well yesterday. Looking forward to doing more stuff like that, and using it for lo-fi hiphop type stuff.

sooooo still super digging it, learning what it excels at and where it's limitations are.
but.... am i right that the only way you can put samples into a playable kit is through computer interface? like, i can't sample a small noise from the mic onto the BD key, edit it, then splork verbally into the mic onto the SD key? one can only sample into a Synth Sampler patch and use one sample tuned across the keys?
