Mario Kart Double Dash was the best Mario Kart by far.

Going to throw my vote in for Gamecube "best console" as well.

I would welcome all of you in a Double Dash tournament.

Because I would fucking destroy any of you.

Oh ya I did. Shit was serious. A roommate and I did battle modes and/or full Grand Prix cups every day for two years. We'd play 'first to 50' in battle mode and usually win 50-48 or 50-49.

Honestly it was disgusting, and is probably one of my most honed talents (worthless).

Fell in with a new crew in a new city years later...they fired up Double Dash one night on a lark. I played dumb. Things got ugly...the horrifying things I did to them...it legit tested the bonds of of our friendship. Waluigi stadium...lightning bolt on the final ramp...took all three down at once...cruised into 1st while their screens are blacked out...dude smashed the console.

Sometimes when I'm feeling anxious and can't sleep I think about that moment.

On Gamecube discussion, Gamecube's controller is the best ever made.

The layout of the a/b/x/y is the best thing ever because it's actually based on how thumbs work. When I see the fact that we still use button layouts based on a visual right-angle layout, I just want to vomit, hit someone and cry simultaneously. It's like if we had the current technology of cars and everyone still chose to ride horses.

I have a similar story with the original Smash Bros in that I played that shit 24/7, and that brought it down to a fest to play with friends and bands that were staying. I didn't go next year but apparently people were asking for "that one dude that was fucking good at Smash." Most likely to try to their best to enact some horrible revenge on me.
