my first reaction is: this is going to make it much worse, because now the only people working the problem are the sociopaths from ICE.

And what's worse, ICE works it both ways - they'll separate members of incoming families AND use separated children to lure other family members into custory who are already inside the country who step forward to place the kids into homes.
