This far I like the basic chickpeas (duh)+garlic+cumin+olive+oil thing.

Also, keep the water you boiled the chickpeas in and use add some to the hummus. It will make it creamier/easier to blend and give more flavour.
Always always always reserve the pot liquor from your legumes imo. It can be used for so much. That's flavor town baby.
