ILF Benefit Tees - ENDING ALMOST NOW

Postby jrmy » Wed Sep 03, 2014 9:26 pm

Awright... so HERE we have... some t-shirts to help pay Tom to keep the lights on!

Seriously, I've been meaning to do this for a while, but this whole Google Ads thing kicked it in to high gear. I've discussed it with Tom, and he's cool with it. Hopefully you are too!

In an effort to raise money for ILF hosting costs, I've designed two different shirt campaigns on Teespring. It's a fundraising platform that uses pre-orders for t-shirts as its angle - I've used it before for band stuff, and also purchased from campaigns from other people (actually, I'm wearing one right now!). The quality is totally solid, and I've never had a complaint with 'em.

The shirts will only be produced, and you will only be charged, if the minimum orders are met in the time allotted. If either (or, ideally, both) campaigns are successful, all money will be going directly to Tom via the magic of PayPal. Yay technology!

Hopefully you all dig these - if it works out, there will be more designs at later dates...

Thanks for the women's option on Astrosquid.

So how much of the $20 goes to Tom after the shirt costs/teespring/paypal fees, etc?

I don't venture over here from the doom room very often, but I reserved an Astrosquid shirt. Cool design, worthy cause.

No problem!

Honestly, less than I wish - I think somewhere in the $5 - $6 per shirt range. That said, with the more complex design, which is in the 8-9 color range, I think we'd have a hard time getting that with any other vendor, especially in low quantities.

Awesome! Thanks for coming over and pledging! Should I go over and post there, or do the other Doom Roomers know about it already?

I mentioned it but feel free to stop on over, I'm sure a couple of the doombros wouldn't mind kicking in.

It's more expensive than the Gildan, but not terribly so. But in t-shirt polls here in the past (I've been keeping track for a while), AA always wins out, and I wanted these to have maximum aesthetic appeal... they're a fundraiser, but they should be a fundraiser you want to wear...
