Tell me where to move

Post by Casavettes »

I live in New Jersey
Play in a mediocre band
Have a shit deadend job
Hating life
Sob story up the wahzoo

Trying to think of a place to move that doesn't suck so much like nj.
Preferably warmer climate because being cold is stupid,
Any suggestions?

I was going to say Rhode Island, but it's pretty much as cold as NJ.

And I've been to providence jrmy
We played at this abandoned firehouse not too far from there?
I forget what exactly it was called
But wasn't too crazy about RI when I was there

You want warm climate? Come to Australia.. where the government will pay you about $300 a week if you're 'seeking a job' ;)
And seriously we need more proper goddamn musicians... one more 'oh hey I hear you play guitar wanna join my AC/DC cover band' and I'm gonna lose it

Firehouse 13, maybe? Yeah, don't judge the rest of us by that scene (not to dis 'em of course). You gots ta know where to look! I moved here in '97, have become a proud booster since. That said, no place is for everyone... but if you come again, hopefully it will be a better experience.

Yeh I think that's what it was
And that is very true, it helps to know someone in the area

I forgot we also played a show in west warwick. We had a 12 year old try to sell us an Xbox he was carrying and some old religious woman told us the place we were playing was evil and we were going to burn inside of it.
In a coincidence the door to that place was the door of that venue that burned down awhile ago in RI? (Which they salvaged from the fire if I made that confusing)
Anyway :p that place was cray

Hahah that's great. I would love to go there, would also be a great chance to go to big day out.
And believe me I hear ya, I'm surrounded by lame bars full of bands covering all the classic rock "gems"

well, Dr. Dre AND Tupac have certified Cali as a place that knows how to party? i love it out here, but i havna been many places in the States. it is kinda espensive, but there's some interesting scenes. and a LOT of odd art things going on in The Yarea.

It's like 60 degrees here in Missouri right now. But by no means am I recommending it
St. Louis is a really cool city though. I was up there yesterday. Supposedly really dangerous in St. louis too. Danger's my middle name.

I can't wait until it's my turn to make this thread, although I'll probably just leapfrog it from Milwaukee to Chicago to ???.

Every place sucks now. I loved New Orleans when I moved here 25 years ago. Now I don't leave the house.

There's absolutely nothing to do here, but since we own our place and I married into it I am content.

I sorta liked Pensacola and Destin.

Vermont has some awesome people and good Buddhist cults.

California is okay near the beaches, but you never feel like you are anywhere there. It moves too fast.

I would recommend Boulder, CO (but I've never been)

Sorry, I sort of hate every place ever.
...or something...
