Yeah the Fission mode (crossover) is great for bass, baritone guitars and drop C or D tunings, sending the two frequency bands to different fuzzes/drives (or keeping one clean). When you adjust the two outer filters (the low and high cuts) the full sweep of the Splitpoint control dynamically adjusts to stay exactly within the range, thus increasing its resolution. Also makes sweeping with the expression pedal a lot easier to control.

Here's a new video explaining all of the features of the Transmutron in more detail, to give you a much better idea of how it works, which is actually pretty simple once you wrap your head around it. :) The examples use both pedals and eurorack effects, also at the same time, and explores the ways you can get creative controlling the Splitpoint with control voltage signals and/or expression pedal. Enjoy!

By the way, we are still taking pre-orders and plan to start shipping at the beginning of November.

Here's a quickie with a super gnarly tone derived from audio-rate modulation of the Splitpoint in Fallout mode (wide resonant notch filter) using the Hungry Robot Looping ADSR. Of course some help from the SolidGoldFX Zeta drive in the first FX loop, and the Arturia Microbrute processing the second side with its Brute Factor cranked! The Splitpoint offset is also shifted using the expression pedal input.

Alright, we've got a first draft of the User Guide (manual) ready, which should give you a good look at the functions, connections and controls of the Transmutron. Looking for your feedback (for those interested of course) and if you think something else should be included. Our manuals are printed on 2 sides of legal sized paper so hoping to keep it within that size which can be tough. Thanks for your interest!

FYI, we have all the parts ready for our first production batch, with the exception of the main SMT PCBs which are set to arrive in a couple weeks. Enclosures are set to be UV printed here in the next week. Exciting times! :)

Just shot this yesterday with the Arturia DrumBrute, which is a really fun little machine. As it does not have filters, we decided to use the Transmutron solo, as in without any pedals or effects in the two FX loops. In the last mode, Fallout, there are basically two sharp resonant filters that track together with movement of the Splitpoint frequency, make a super-wide notch in the signal. Also you still have the low and high cut filters to work with, all of which can be switched from 12, 24, or 48 dB/oct (super steeeeep!).

You may have noticed in the description that the 3.5mm eurorack FX loops can be switched to pedal/line level using internal dip switches. This is super useful if you already have a setup using the Patchulator 8000, as you can then patch the two parallel FX loops directly into the Patchulator's top jacks using eurorack patch cables. This also frees up all 8 channels on the Patchulator just for effects.

Here's our recent pedalboard experiments using the two together. Enjoy!

We've had a slight setback in the PCB manufacture, but it is being resolved now. Our ship date has moved back several weeks, but we're confident we can ship all pre-orders before the end of the year.

The rest of the components are sitting patiently waiting to be assembled. Also note that we updated the printed graphics slightly and used probably the best UV printer made to print them. Check it out.

Hi all. FYI we should have all our direct pre-orders shipped by Monday of next week! Please note that the price of the Transmutron is going to increase after the pre-order phase due to import tariffs on some of the primary components that we have to source from Chinese manufacturers. If you were considering a purchase, not would be the time to move on it! And thanks for your patience. We are super excited to get these out there to all you pedal and synth nerds. Please share your experiences (pics, vids, etc) with us, as we are still discovering new ways to use the Transmutron. Cheers. - Adam, Boredbrain Music
