I’m digging that dirty trem swell, and think it might be even better with a Big reverb or delay after it as well, so I’m going to play around with that next.

Is there any way to keep tails with stuff in the loop of the kniv? Ya know what I mean?
Also, I've got an analogue delay that oscillates in a nice way - if I shove that in a kniv will it sound different?

Continuing my "covid killed my band so I think constantly about gear instead of making music" bender.

1) not really sure...but i don't think so b/c the Kniv loop is tbp'd (i think post-loop) :idk:
if you can wait a while i can test that out, or maybe Knut can weigh in? (most of my fx have been buried b/c unexpected guests)
2) pretty sure the answer is yes - isn't that the point tho? :snax:
i mean, if you don't activate the feedback function, it should sound basically the same, but once you introduce feedback, that sound you love is going to blow up, but maybe you'll like it?

Thanks Dandolin!

If you could do me a favour and just check a boring delay in the kniv and make it do a nice boring sound and see what happens with the feedback? I'm interested if it will go into ethereal wash, screaming wall of noise, feedback that just sits there under what you're playing, or just kinda... the same as turning up the feedback knob on the delay.

The current idea I'm playing with is whether I get another delay or a verb and set it for washy feedbacky stuff, or whether I can do it with the kniv and my existing pedals. I always have a long delay and a short delay on my board, one for solos, then stacked for increased space, but I want to have a third option of going really long washy delay smush. I'm currently using the reverb on the bit quest, but it sounds really... different. Cool, but tonally different when I turn it on. And I'd like it to be a bit more of a seamless gradient between the sounds, and so I started thinking of kniv.

:idk:

Hi
Skimmed through this:
* You'll likely get different flavor of repeats by using the KNIV rather than the repeats control on your delay. Most delays will have regenerative filtering for the internal feedback path that will give a different result than feedback across the entire pedal (even if you have the option of adjusting the delay pedal to "wet only", using KNIV for both dry/wet and repeats control)

I should get one and put my whole pedalboard in the loop

Very low on my priority list unfortunately. I sell ~5 of these per year and have +10 in stock. So maybe in 2 years time?
