E.V.A - C.V. Generator

Have been working on miniaturizing the Lightning Wave C.V. functionality for a wee bit now.

The hand filing is a tad rough :whateva: But it seems good to go. I'll do another PCB revision, but before I do I was thinking I'd gauge if rechargeable battery compatibility was a thing worth doing :?: I don't think I could ship it containing the cell, but could make it compatible with cells and generic connectors sold at around $7 from model shops (online) in the US or elsewhere. I calculated a minimum of 15 hours use from a 2000mAh and it can charge overnight at 250mA off any standard 9V with enough juice.

It also includes PTC and over voltage / negative polarity protection, so you can't cook it by trying the wrong supply (up to 40V)

Some of the stuff it does:

User-created controlvoltage LFO waveforms - presets x5

255 stage step sequencer

0-5V output/input range

Tap tempo & touchsensor

Sync input/output

Inverted CV output

Subdivision sync input changeable from 1/1 to 1/8

Control voltage on/off touch sensor

One time triggering to playback waveforms like envelopes

You can thank mysteriousj's coding skills for being able to include all that stuff while keeping it super neat.

Open to any suggestions/criticisms/requests..

That is amazing.

The rechargeable battery is a great idea, not something I personally would use. But I can imagine applications where it would be quite handy.

The only things I could thing to change would be a toggle to up the 5V to a higher value. And maybe a stomp or a rugged button for the one time trigger stuff.

requests: one shipped to me

For being hand filed and a tad rough, it looks damn good to me.

I'm not sure what voltages are are preferred? but will look into that.

The BPM input can be internally toggled from V-trig to S-trig, so an external tap tempo switch can be adapted down to 3.5mm.

Will keep you posted when they're good to go :)

Awesome about external tap! I can leave this at hand height and just tap with my foot!

From my experience, most things are 5v, but every once in a while you run into some oddball stuff.

I want some your stuff so damn bad!! Everything you put out is superb!!!

Do you have mailing list that says "hey this is for sale now" or something to that effect?

Also my boner!!!

Is this in correlation with 80tape's CV generator? Seems like bad timing haha.

Heh nah the 80Tape CV gen is quite extensive and also has a way different interface. I'll still get one for my ms10 and use both of them :)

Does it do random?

I saw this on IG and it got me excited.
Definitely something I want to look into.

No, but you can write 255 steps or seconds, so it could probably sound random but would loop eventually.
