Welcome to the Mecha Feta page!
Standard pricing is £115 3PDT, £125 relay bypass

The Mecha Feta is a recreation of the much loved and sought after fuzz box, the Big Cheese
Its been cloned by many, many people because of its unique, lets face it, "cheesey" sound and great versatility
Probably most widely heard on the guitar riff from Discoteque by U2, but also used to great effect on bass by Radiohead on "National Anthem", the original has found its way onto countless recordings and the pedalboards of the rich and famous, for a while being a mainstay for Pavement among others.
My Mecha Feta is severely shrunken, and at its most pedalboard friendly can be squeezed into a Hammond 1590b (side mounted jacks).
For lovers of top mount jacks, it will squish into a 125b quite comfortably!

Currently the Mecha Feta has the following controls

In - connect your instrument or output of another effect here
Out - plug your amplifier or input of another effect here
DC jack - 9v DC tip negative boss style barrel type
Whey - Output volume control. My version has the popular GGG mod to allow a significant output boost over unity gain! Same classic cheesey sounds, just louder.
Curds - Fuzz control. Sets the overall intensity/saturation of the fuzz in modes Off / Scoop / Hump, and controls decay/gating in the swiss cheese setting.
Tone - Big Muff type tone control with a wide sweep
Rotary - 4 position tone selection
- Position 1 - tone bypass - slightly louder, tone knob bypassed
- Position 2 - mid scoop, perfect for riffs and big power chords
- Position 3 - mid hump, boosted mids, great for solo's
- Position 4 - swiss cheese. The classic gated fuzz control. Gives all the broken speaker / crackly mess / atari 8bit type bleeps you could want

Internally, there is a trim pot which is only active in swiss cheese mode, and sets the onset of gating effect. I tune these before shipping, but feel free to experiment.
