Which ipad/interface combo should i get for under 300?

Definitely lookin to buy used. Ipad air 2 seems like a good value? dunno.

I bought the latest non-pro iPad, 32gb WiFi, and think it was just north of $300. Haven’t used any other versions, so can’t speak to that.

BUT if you already have a usb interface that’s class compliant you should be able to use that with the camera connection kit. I have to power mine (komplete audio 6) with a usb hub, but it works great!

the new CCK has an extra lightning port that powers devices connected to it and charges your idevice

What are you looking to do?
I have an air 2 and it works great for effect. I mainly use AUM, Bias and AU effects.
Most synths work OK but power hungry stuff like Moog model 15 tend to get gittery if used with anything else.
