I've owned several RM-1Ns at this point. Some of them have heartbeats so loud that it's almost unusable. Others, barely any heartbeat at all.

i agree, nice demo. i love when people do demos that show a bunch of what a pedal can do instead of talking forever and showing off.

plus, sock demo. :thumb:
i can't do pedals w/o my shoes on.

Thanks, will try to up my sock game for next time. I think I need a slightly taller tripod too.

Also I'm bad at talking, and bad at showing off so it kinda works out.

Yeah man. Up the sock game! I think for now it's Eivind who has the best demos sock wise.

Just ordered one. Stoked to finally get a taste of what I've been reading about for years!

Don't own a RM-1N (it's a bit too expensive for me to get in the EU). But the "heartbeats" sound a lot like my Echo Degrader in some settings. Is t running the same PT2399 chip maybe?

Can't speak for the RM-1N for sure, but I'm pretty sure it's a belton brick.
If you didn't already know, a BB is just 3 cascaded PT2399s with all the wiring and filtering built in :thumb:
Pretty in depth discussion of it here: http://www.madbeanpedals.com/forum/inde ... ic=13162.0

Very long time lurker. First post. I have been following this thread for a long time.
I just ust bought an RM-N1 today!
Suddenly, I feel like Neil Young scoring Dead Man- just if Neil Young we’re in Swans
Wonderful pedal so far.
I haven’t worked it into either of my boards yet as I’m trying to figure placement to get a little more level without pre / post gain engaged. I know it has been mentioned in a few posts previously but I’m wondering where this is ultimately ending up on other folks’ boards?
The level being at unity all the way up is the only (only) quirk that I feel I need to work around. I really love the ticking and other brick noises and artifacts. I’ve also got the DVA Reverberation Machine and dontcreally see it as an either or at all.
Great work Andrew!
