Hmm, I’ve been using a Klone to un-doom my amp, which I set pretty flabby. The klone cuts the lows and adds a bunch of clank for chuggier bits.

I know a guy who used to do something like that. Ran his Bassman full out and stepped on the Klon when he wanted it quieter. :lol: :rock: :hobbes:

How about Idiotbox MK fuzz-drive? Maybe this one?
Almost snagged a used one of these last month but it slipped away.
last time i looked around the only demos were for bass, i'd love to hear it with guitar tho.

Where was that demo where the guy nailed the gain on the klon? I thought they were blues lawyer stuff, but it got really, really hairy. Like run it into a clean amp and play 70s-metal levels of hair.

They can have a lot of gain, for sure, but they also have a ton of BOOST. The two combined into a proper amp and you can Judas Priest all day long.

I want to try making the byoc one that has an extra channel without the distortion stuff.

what if somebody made a klone with a bass knob. that would doom
