Doom-Drone Project in NYC

This is a shot in the dark, but I don't know where else to post something like this. I am a guitarist - been playing for over 20 years. I've always wanted to start up a project with other musicians (bass, keys, whatever) but always had a hard time finding others with a common interest and common taste in music. I live in New York City, so maybe that has something to do with it - not many doom-type people in this city, I guess. Over the years I've written and recorded a black metal album that got some "underground" positive reviews. I'm now into the more doom-y side of things (Cough, Year of No Light, Sunn O)), Windhand, some funeral doom, a lot of drone-type musicians). But anyway, I started writing some songs for a doom-drone project, but its hard going it alone. I really would like to bounce ideas off others, start something serious up, record an album, and maybe start playing out, etc. I'm in my 40s, so just want to be clear. I have a great guitar, awesome pedals - I record primarily through an interface for now, but would be willing and ready to invest in real equipment (amps, cabs, practice space, etc.) to get something going. I'm a chill guy and easy to work with - just want to make a dream of mine happen:) Is there anybody out there?

I'd be down to help out, I'm a bassist and soon to be synth durdler... I've been also wanting to start a doom project, but I'm too lazy to do it on my own. LOL

Bassist here as well...not in NYC, but the surrounding burbs. I've been getting into Doom lately (also in my 40's) and would love to explore some new music projects. I'm also a bit of a synth durdler.

With things being as they are...feels like stuff should be calming down by the spring...but happy to exchange ideas virtually while we wait out the last big push on this covid thing.
