The Apprehension Engine - DIY Horror Machine

I'm planning a build along these lines :omg:

I don't really know much about reverb thanks though. Anyone with experience or tips on building that part of the instrument?

Would something like this do the trick?

Or would I need a lot more components to get that kind of sound out of it?

Any help is appreciated ;)

Wow, this sounds creepy as f*ck!

Unfortunately I can't help you answer your question, but I'm curious about your project ;). Don't hesitate to put on this topic some pictures of your work.

Good luck and have fun!

That instrument is delightful.

Seemed like the tank was just being used as a source in the video I watched (sporadically while listening), you can treat the output of a reverb tank like a guitar signal, might be a touch lower, but you can simply grab an RCA to 1/4" cable and plug a tank right into an amp to get results. So yeah, that tank should work fine (be warned, they don't like a lot of abuse..). If you need to drive the pan with signal, you can think of the input of the pan as a roughly headphones level transducer - though the inputs vary quite a bit in configuration, the outputs are more or less uniform. When used as pure mechanical source, the input jack can be used as an additional output too.

Good to see a hurdy gurdy built in too, that is the single creepiest thing I have ever played around with.
I've got to get off my ass and bring to reality that what has been quoted through existence.
