Bass fuzz and overdrive recommendations

Bass fuzz and overdrive recommendations

Postby Krosis » Fri Dec 11, 2015 12:44 pm

Now that I got a Rick I figure I'll concentrate on getting some good dirt pedals for bass.

I already have:
Boss OBD-3
BAT Pharoah
BAT Revelation Superbass
Mountainking Megalith clone
Dunwich Wizard

What else do you guys recommend?

Fulltone Bass-Drive.

Oh hey, I'm selling mine. PM if you're interested. Best OD for bass. It's literally just a bass voiced TS with a clean boost circuit stacked on it if what I've been told is correct. Either way it's super burly sounding and goes from clean boost to fuzzlike saturation.

The Xotic BB Preamp and the Tronographic Rusty Box are both killer for bass.

EQD Monarch is my favorite bass OD. I like it boosted by a Digitech / Hardwire CM2, which is a TS type overdrive. All three of the Hardwire OD-dist pedals are good on bass, and crazy cheap for the quality.

For fuzz I also like the Megalith. Meathead Dark is a killer one knob bass fuzz. Superfuzz or Ibanez Standard Fuzz are awesome, but speakers beware w/ the octave fuzz and massive power.

You like octave fuzz? Foxx Tone Machines sound nasty on bass.
