Doom with melodic vocals?

boop boop. i don't know much about heavy musics. i dig some of the heavy musics, but the cookie monster growl sruffstuff doesna do it for me.

any good shtuff with interesting, yummy singins? i..... like lady vocals a lot too.

The first modern band that comes to mind is Paul bearer. But there's tons and tons out there.

Young Widows can be melodic and doomy.

Marriages are awesome. They get doomy sometimes but in general are just awesome and interesting.

check out early Candlemass (Epicus Doomicus Metallicus is a classic, anything into the early 90s is damn good). They generally set the mold as far as traditional doom with melodic vocals (pallbearer sounds similar).

Pallbearer recently clicked for me. That was my first thought as well.

Khemmis features one of our own, and although there are some screams and harsher vocals, there is quite a lot of singing as well.

Windhand is heavy as balls and has lady vocals.

so, grabbing some stuff from all the suggestions to check out (when i go through a New Music Splurge i download the HELLZ out of stuff, then buy what i adore), super excited for yummy new audio ticklings........ but dayum.

doom bands have some SILLY ass names. or is it cutely ironic?

And mufuggin Chelsea Wolfe. Doom/industrial/goth/scary lady vocal musics.
