This one gets some press cuz it's ZVex, but I don't know anyone else who uses it in the real world:

Woah! I didn't know that was such a big fuckin' picture. Sorry.

It kind of reminds me of a Devi in that it's a two-knobber that likes to be plugged right into a solid state amp. It can also go into a Muff or a Bit, but regular overdrive swallows it. You can really get a zillion fuzz sounds out of it, though. I can't wait to run it into the Superfuzz clone I've got coming.

I'm actually thinking about selling my Mammoth. I oddly prefer the Mastotron.

Sure but I would rather support someone buying the real thing than a clone.

Mastotron is the shit. I had a short fase where I thought I fell outa love with mine, but it turned out to be old fashioned user error. Weird that it's not more popular around here imo. Not at all as finnicky/squeely/sizzly as the other zvex fuzzies, and it's loaded with a dangerous amount of volume and low end.

For fuzz the Smallsound/bigsound Hawk Fuzz and Idiot Box Static Fuzz are both awesome and not seen much around here. Both work well for guitar and bass. Creepy Fingers Doomidrive is my vote for an overdrive. I built a clone and it's the tits.

I definitely want to check out some of the Idiot box pedals, especially the Static Fuzz and the new, Klon-based overdrive.

Yeah definately look into some of thier pedals. They sound awesome, good quality pedals, good looking pedals but most important of all they are really well priced. I really want to try one of the Blower Box Bass distortion pedals he builds. Not much chance of that happening where I live. I think there would probably be no risk in just buying it. If it is anywhere as good as the Static Fuzz I'm sure I won't be disappointed.

There's a badass blower box in bst right now. The Death Ray is another great Idiotbox. Absolutely love that one.

The Blower Box was really fucking awesome when it came in the tourbox. And, best of all, it sounded best with every knob all the way up.

Dungeon Master is a really awesome, thick fuzz too. Crushing low end if you want it.

The Mountainking Huge Box is like the unsung hero of the Mountainking line. Simple, straight to the point fuzz.
