You want this

Image

Dano Fab Tone. Big honkin metal enclosure. Four pots on the face. Round footswitch. Old school OG 90's shit.

You don't want (or at least it's not what I /we are talking about) this

Image

Dano Fab Distortion. Tiny plastic enclosure. Three pots on the rear jack panel. Oval footswitch. Modern weak ass shit.

I know what to look for now, cheers.

I'll have to pass on that ebay deal though, and probably on all US ebay deals for that matter...

Boss builds a pretty nice one...

I actually like the three knob one too but it's definitely not nearly as good.

I know behringer is usually garbage. But for 35 bucks this cheap hm2 clone can take drunken boot stomping. Even though it's hard plastic.
My girlfriend has one and I mess around with it. Sounds good after the black forest.

But I just ordered this HM2 clone from Abominable Electronics for 150 this morning.

I'd be down for one of those for sure, but I don't need the extra footswich, so I'd kinda rather have a smaller version with a toggle switch instead :s

That Fab Tone... I used that for years when I started out on guitar. my favorite tone was that fabtone with the Big Muff. it was just monsterously swampy disgusting.

Nine of Swords makes some totally doom gear. I have the Hand of God and the Burial at Sea. Both totally crush!

Went through the NOS product line. Particularly liked the Funural Party. Seems like a nice blend between fuzz and distortion, with more than enough gain, and not more controls than needed...

Too bad I can't seem to find a single demo where the pedal has the gain control past noon though :s

What are the guts like? Those prices almost seem a little.. too.. good.
