Me too, my dude. The v1, although noisy, sounds great.

Yeah. Check out Jerms' builds. He's Jim from Built to Spill, and he builds them beautifully to vintage spec…I missed out on a few of his pedals last week, and am now on a hunt...

Yeah…trying to figure out what I can sell, or if I am obsessing over something that is negligibly tangible…In the budget friendly range, check out the Basic Audio Scarab Deluxe. It's a MKII, but pretty amazing, and you can find them used for $150. Check out Arcane Analog's stuff out. He had a super legit MKI on sale a week ago for around $175 that I am kicking myself for not picking up…ultimately, I am just kind of in a holding pattern, looking for the right budget-to-quality option to cross my path….

Buzzarounds are the most distortion-y of the tonebender family for me. Also have a really wide variety of sounds in them, going from buzzy vintage territory all the way to METALZ. I'll go give mine a go see how it chunks.

Tonebenders are a fucking blackhole though.

Not sure if he's building anymore, but Jimmy Behan (out of Ireland) used to build some great Mk1 Tonebenders at very reasonable prices. Vintage spec, modelled off originals, etc. Love mine.
If you ever see one up for sale, grab it.

I was asking Jack from Mr. Black about his clone, and he said he's not "enamored by that circuit" anymore.

I WAS LIKE YOU CRAY.

I've also wanted the four-knob Skinpimp Buzzaround since forever.

I'm giving the Montgomery Tonebenders a good, hard look. I remember that dude from back in the HCFX days.

Unfortunately Jimmy seems to have packed up shop but hopefully he'll be back at some point.

Slowly getting into Tonebenders now myself. Have built some Mk3s and a Vox so far. Gonna get on the MK2s next.

JERMS definitely does my favourite benders! He plays guitar in Built to Spill as well.
Pretty neat!

I'm generally in agreement with Jack on most things, but I can't get on board with that at all. If I could only have one fuzz, I'd be hard pressed to pick between some uber-muff and a buzzaround.
