An open letter from me to electric amps usa.

Sorry to bump an old thread but I was looking for some relevant info on EA. I had no idea he stopped because his "faceplate engraver died." Which is hilarious because the faceplates looked like absolute shit.

Oh? So he got a new faceplate engraver and only works with saps? (You, casecandy are obviously not a sap)

:picard:

Hahaha, I'm not trying to buy one (Science amps for my custom builds only). Someone else on another forum was. Just trying to find relevant info to steer them away from a mistake.

Like... the British Matamp is back in full swing making Green Amps.

Not to mention Soursound, Verellen, Science, Black Market Custom, Dunwich...

So, what is his selling point these days?

I mean, they're beautiful amps.

But they're not $500 more than anything else, with two to three times the wait time, beautiful amps.

I swam up to the hook... but I crucially did not bite.

Put myself on Dunwich wait list instead.

Always wanted a Green but I'd feel like I was just pissing money away.

My sentiments exactly. I was set on a Science for a few years after I gave up on an EA, no regrets.

Yeah, the way to get new customers is completely blow them off when they have questions about dropping $3K+++

Wait wot? There's people paying $3K sight unseen for a rig that doesn't even exist yet? And by "people", I mean not billionairs, and not succesful professional musicians...:id:

Not only that but people are paying $3K+ for amps that aren't even getting built because Joel has no builder/tech or faceplate engraver these days it would seem.

Hahaha, oh man. Someone who wast just raving about how awesome their EA was had their amp blow up on them. waltdogg - 1, TB - 0

I don't get it, someone started a thread about getting a *new* EA and bunch of dudes who got them secondhand chimed in. It's like, good for you dudes (still payed more than retail on an Orange, lol) but you didn't have to deal with Joel or wait 1-3 years for your amp.

As a designer, I have to say that of all the douchbaggery, shitty business practices, and volumes and volumes of other offensive bullshit that Mr. Mondo has cast out into the world, almost nothing is as offensive as his web designs.
poop.

I don't think Joel has ever bothered to defend himself on an open forum. But when you mention to him in e-mails that there are discussions about his failure to deliver he accuses YOU of libel!
