The Multiplexer has a really nice sound to it, but the one I tried (XO series) had a really bad volume drop.
YMMV and all, but something to consider.

I didn't notice a volume drop on any of the videos I watched. I'll have to track one down that I can play in person first before pulling the trigger on it. I did like how weird and synthy it sounded though.

I can't complain in the slightest. Got it yesterday, and for the price? Fuck yeah. :omg:

Hmmmm...this may be the ticket until I can afford/otherwise justify a POG2

Exactly my thought process. Really tweakable for a little tiny pedal.

seems like a great way to figure out if an octave pedal is for you. if you love it, go find a nicer one. if you don't gel with it, at least it's cheap. i think octave pedals seem cool for some things, like ambient passages or organ sounds and creative uses like that, but as far as people using them to try to make their guitar "heavier", i generally think they fall short and don't sound that good in that kind of application. with that in mind, i think the organizer is one of the cooler ones out there.

Yep. First time I've gassed for a mini pedal like that.

This is pretty much my thoughts on octave pedals.

i fell in love with the ps 5 (us600)
because of the detune and trem arm
but when i got the ps6
the +1/-1 gave my shit more roar
like way heavier and souds good
id tourbox the fuck out of it
so i didnt sound like a raving loon all the time
but its always on
i feel naked without it
that said when i got the ps 5
it DOES NOT do the same thing for heaviness
it glitches out when i try to use it like that
which sounds cool as its own thing
but its not just clean -1 octave like the 6
i guess heavy is also relative
i try to get as gnarly as possible
and kick that on and its just more of what you got
if i felt my shit was weak and turned it on
it would get more weak
so i guess youre right mrstomach
tryin to make somethin not heavy enough heaviER
probably wont work out to well
if your not there already get a b.a.t.

I just picked up an Upper Jr., my first time flirting with the octave up routine...didn't love what it did to clean tones, unless I was looping them over some non-octave effected parts for some contrast.
BUT sounded pretty incredible running into some of my fuzz when downtuned
Definitely not an "on all the time" effect, but a nice flavor to add now and then.
Special low-frequency version.

my chemical romance's (the most doom band ever btw) guitar player used a pog when they were recording the black parade, and recorded all 5 octaves to get this super massive sound

might sound pretty cool for doom?

Pretty cool, I didn't know that. I actually like that album, and the one before it.
