Metropolitan Amp Model
Current Status of Amp: In Production
The Metropolitan is a pedal player based amp which has 2 psuedo-channels built into it, one which is very clean and one which is mildly overdriven. The idea behind the amp was to have the ability to slam pedals in front of the amp where you could either have a completely clean tone to play over or a OD'd sound to add more clipping onto. The 2 channels can even be blended together to create tones that mix both ideas. The 2 channels have independent gain controls with a shared 6 position FAC/Depth control to adjust the bass early in the amp. The amp has a passive james/baxandall EQ, a master volume (in any newer units there will be channel independent master volumes), a mode control, and a hi cut style presence control. The Mode control affects the EF86 phase inverter drive allowing it to operate as ultra linear, triode, or pentode with infinite adjustment inbetween each of those settings.
