1978

Postby RitalinCupcake » Fri Jun 20, 2014 7:50 pm

I just picked up a Mojo Hand 1978 and this thing sounds great! I had a v5 Opamp muff for a long time, bought it new way back when I first started playing. Loved the sound but got rid of it a 5 or 6 years ago because of all the usual complaints, horrible bypass, odd power adapter, huge size. I had a Euthymia ICBM for a while and it was close but not quite there. The 1978 is dead on, sounds fantastic, you guys did a great job!

Old thread bump.
I am dying to pull the trigger on one of these. RC, are you still using and digging it?
I'm more of a "traditional" muff guy but don't have an IC version...

Yeah, I really like it. I've always liked the IC sound better than other muffs, maybe just because it was the first kind
I had.

I'm in Worcester, aren't you too? I could let you try it out if you want.

What'd be even more awesome'd be if they rented out the Worcester Centrum for a day to test out pedals in. :poke:

If we could rent out the Centrum, I'd come up there for that.

Truly...RitalinCupcake met me downtown and hooked me UP! The $$$ we would've spent on shipping pedals for a temporary trade was able to go to a much better cause (microbrews!) I've had only 20 minutes with the 1978 but had a sh!t-eating grin on my face for 19 of those minutes...very good sign. Some serious crunch, godDAMN!
Thinking we would all benefit huge from something like regional directories of 'ILF Locals'

Glad you're enjoying the 1978. I've also only had 20-30 minutes with the Black Sheep and it's a really fun pedal. It makes me just want to crank out power chords and stoner riffs all day long.

It was great meeting you. Pretty funny when the bartender dude came over and was into the fuzz. Local directories would be pretty cool. That map thing someone posted a while ago was cool, I think there was some kind of limit on the number of points in the free version, wonder what it costs to get it unlimited?

Does this mean we're not renting out the Centrum?

Of course we are, chank.
We'll put the arena rockers at the Centrum, metalheads at the Palladium, and shoegazers will take the Art Museum. Doom will rain down from on high at the airport.
